MEMBERSHIP
Membership fees to belong to the Regina Ostomy Chapter are $30 per year, payable in September of each year. $20 of this fee is paid to the United Ostomy Association of Canada, Inc. (UOAC). The remaining $10 remains with the Chapter and helps with the costs of the newsletter and mailing, production of brochures to help new patients adjust to living with an ostomy, funding for ostomy youth camp, and sending supplies and aid to ostomates in developing countries through FOW (Friends of Ostomates Worldwide).
The $30 membership fee includes a subscription to Regina Ostomy News, our local newsletter which is published 5 times a year, plus a subscription to Ostomy Canada, a UOA of Canada Inc. publication.
DONATIONS
As a non-profit organization we welcome bequests, donations, and gifts. Tax receipts are issued for all donations over $10. Acknowledgement cards are also issued to next-of-kin when memorial donations are received.
Donations assist the chapter in publishing the newsletter and educational pamphlets, bringing our visiting program to new ostomates, and organizing educational seminars every second year, among other things.
