Ostomy Supplies Coverage (S.A.I.L.)

Saskatchewan Aids to Independent Living (S.A.I.L.) is an ostomy reimbursement program with the Saskatchewan government. An enterostomal therapy (ET) nurse at the Ostomy & Wound Care Centre, Pasqua Hospital, will register you with the S.A.I.L. program. You will then receive a letter telling you that you are registered. Once this letter is received, you may submit your paid receipts for ostomy supplies to the following address for a reimbursement of 50% for the cost of supplies:

If you have additional health insurance through your employer or a private insurance program such as Blue Cross, Group Medical Services, DVA, etc., additional reimbursement may be obtained. After receiving your itemized S.A.I.L. reimbursement statement, submit this plus your paid receipts to your private insurance program for reimbursement.
